Get to know our winery and its surroundings

Come to visit us and taste our wines directly in our winery and we will show you how we elaborate them. Discover our vineyards and our facilities personally, with the barrel area, the rustic niches / bottle racks… The small size of the winery and witnessing an almost artisanal winemaking system will help you to properly understand all steps in the production of our wines.

If you’re lucky and you come during any of the different tasks we do during the year, either in the vineyards (grape harvest, pruning, trimming…) or in the cellar (fermentation, racking of barrels, bottling, labeling…), you can experience firsthand the unique experience of “making wine”, thus being able to observe and understand details you wouldn’t perceive in a simple quick visit.

As a curiosity for history fans, it may be interesting to note that in the vicinity of our vineyards is an old Roman road that started in the village of Pancorbo and went up to Gimileo (Rioja village believed to be a settlement of a fraction of the Roman legion Gemina Legio VII, founder of the city of León).

On the way it goes through Foncea proceeding after that heading west to Gembres field next to the village of Sajazarra, passing later on through the town of Cihuri (where it remains, like in Sajazarra, a Roman bridge rebuilt partly in the Middle Ages) and crossing finally the beautiful bridge of Anguciana, denomination believed to be formed by the evolution of the word Augustana (Caesar Augustus).

La Rioja is a unique region offering beautiful landscapes and many experiences. Combine your visit to our winery with a good table at a local restaurant to taste the Rioja gastronomy, with a good hike / bike / riding through vineyards or up to neighboring Peña Gembres at the beginning of the Obarenes Mountains. You can also combine your visit with river fishing (on the Tirón river in the near Anguciana) or skiing (in the neighboring skiresort of Valdezcaray) if you are in season or even a balloon flight around the area.

We have a very limited availability due to the growing demand and due to the fact, that we are a small team. Therefore, we advise you to contact us enough time in advance to consult possibilities, availability, prices…
